HAITI EDUCATION FOUNDATION
The Haiti Education Foundation (HEF), in our alliance with the Episcopal Church of Haiti, strives to provide educational opportunities to the people of the southern mountains of Haiti . We continue to build on the vision that Mrs. Frances Landers and Pere Jean Wilfrid Albert began in 1981, and we look to God to guide that vision.
Plant With Purpose
By reversing deforestation, Plant With Purpose helps the poor restore productivity to their land to create economic opportunity out of environmental restoration. Since 1984 we have helped more than 100,000 people in some 230 villages lift themselves out of poverty through our holistic approach to sustainable development.
Solar Under the Sun
Believing that Jesus Christ is the Light of the world, the vision of the Solar Under the Sun (SUS)– a ministry of the Synod of the Sun, a governing body of the Presbyterian Church (USA) – is to illumine our fellow human beings with hope and life through solar energy.
To do this, SUS trains volunteers to design and install solar power systems with communities that lack reliable electrical power.
Trinity HOPE
Trinity HOPE is a ministry that feeds thousands of hungry children, teachers and cooks each day in Christian schools spread throughout Haiti. Children receive a nutritious bowl of rice (or corn) and beans, with a high-protein mix of tomato paste, dried herring, oil, maggi (seasoning) and water. “An empty stomach has no ears” is a well-known phrase in Haiti. Trinity HOPE understands that when children are SO hungry they can’t concentrate, their education suffers. Haiti’s future depends on the education of the upcoming generation.
Living Waters for the World
Living Waters for the World empowers everyday people to change lives through clean water. They train, equip and support volunteers in forming global, clean-water mission partnerships. These mission partnerships empower international communities to install and sustain water purification systems and health education programs that transform lives.
